KidCredit ("KidCredit", "we", "us") is a simple tool that helps families run a pretend reward bank — parents give kids "coins" for chores and good behaviour, and kids track them. This policy explains what information we handle and how we protect it. KidCredit is privacy-first: no ads, no tracking, and we never sell your data.
KidCredit is intended for parents and guardians. Only an adult can create an account. Children do not create accounts, do not provide an email, and cannot sign up on their own. By using KidCredit and adding information about your child, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and you consent to us handling that information to provide the service.
We use this information only to operate KidCredit for you: to sign you in, show and update your family's coins, send reminders you asked for, and keep the service secure. We do not use it for advertising and we do not build profiles of children.
We take children's privacy seriously and aim to follow laws such as the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). KidCredit does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. The limited information about a child in KidCredit is entered by their parent, who controls it. We do not show children advertising, and we do not share children's information with third parties for their own purposes. A parent can review, change or delete their child's information at any time, or contact us to do so.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers. We use Cloudflare to host and run KidCredit; they process data on our behalf as our service provider. We may disclose information if required by law.
We use a single cookie to keep you signed in to your parent dashboard. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
We keep your family's information while your account is active. You can edit or remove kids, rewards and chores yourself in the app. To delete your whole account and all associated data, email us (below) and we will remove it.
We protect your data with industry-standard measures, including HTTPS encryption in transit and hashed passwords. No online service can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we work to keep your family's information safe.
You can access, correct or delete your information through the app or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; contact us to exercise them.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
